Cub Scouts - Starboard Pack

We are Sea Scouts, which is the same as any other Scout group except as we are on the water we do a lot more water activities. Our hall has a great location on the waterfront with a boat ramp, which enables us to launch our canoes & kayaks.

Part of the theme in Cub Scouts has been inspired by Rudyard Kipling's book "The Jungle Book". Cubs belong to a PACK and the adult leaders take the names based on Jungle Book Characters:

James Craig weekend

At cubs we do lots of outdoor activities, we teach the kids how to do practical things by playing games and having lots of fun. We have a few camps throughout the year, these are most often inside dormitories.

All of our activities are supervised by our Leaders and parents. Leaders who have all had police checks and Working with Children checks. Our Leaders are volunteers and most often parents like yourselves.

If your child is of Cub Scout age (8 to 10) they can come along for a 4 – 6-week trial to see if they like Cubs. This is at no charge. So if you are looking at getting those kids off the computer then here’s your chance. They can start their trial at any time during the school term.
